Our founder and dentist in charge: Privatdozent M. Dr. Oliver Ahlers, long-time senior physician and deputy medical director of the Polyclinic for Dental Preservation and Preventive Dentistry at the UKE and was the first certified specialist for functional diagnostics and therapy (DGFDT) in the greater Hamburg area.<\/p>\n
Dr. Ahlers is one of the leading specialists in the diagnosis and treatment of CMD and tooth wear. The nationally and internationally recognized expert has written 2 textbooks in several editions and languages and other textbooks in addition to his treatment activities. He has also published over 150 papers in dental journals, given around 300 scientific lectures at congresses and symposia and given 450 advanced training courses. <\/p>\n
As a university lecturer at the Faculty of Medicine, he continues to teach as an external lecturer at the University Medical Center Hamburg-Eppendorf (UKE), supervises dissertations and leads his own research projects.<\/p>\n
