Declaration on accessibility
The CMD Center Hamburg-Eppendorf (CMD) is committed to digital accessibility. We endeavor to make our website accessible in accordance with the Barrierefreiheitsstärkungsgesetz (BFSG), the Barrierefreie-Informationstechnik-Verordnung (BITV 2.0) and the Behindertengleichstellungsgesetz (BGG).
This accessibility statement was created on 09.10.2025 and last reviewed on 09.10.2025. It applies to the entire website www.cmd-centrum.de
Status of compatibility with the requirements
The review of compliance with the requirements is based on a self-assessment using automated testing tools and manual tests. It was determined that the website does not yet guarantee complete accessibility. The CMD is therefore working hard to further improve the accessibility of its website.
Non-accessible content
- Contrast ratio (WCAG 2.0, success criteria 1.4.3 [Contrast (minimum)])
The contrast ratio between texts and background colors is sometimes insufficient to ensure legibility for visually impaired users. This applies to text content as well as to control elements and graphical user interfaces. The adjustment of color contrasts to increase readability is currently being planned. - Structure and navigation aids (WCAG 2.1, success criteria 1.3.1 [Info and relationships])
The website has an inadequate structure in terms of the order of HTML tags. This affects the semantic structure of the content, which can lead to problems when using screen readers. Clear and descriptive labels are also missing in some cases. An adaptation of the HTML/content structure to ensure logical and consistent navigation is currently in the implementation phase. - Interactive control elements (WCAG 2.1, success criteria 2.5.5 [target size], 2.5.7 [drag & drop alternative])
Some interactive elements such as buttons and links are too small or too close together, which makes them difficult to use for users with motor impairments. Adjustments to improve usability are currently being planned. As soon as this planning is completed, it will be published on this page. - Opening new windows or tabs (WCAG 2.1, success criterion 3.2.5 [Changes on context switching])
Links that open a new window or tab are not announced in advance. This can lead to problems, particularly for users of screen readers or with cognitive impairments. An adjustment to improve user guidance is currently being planned. As soon as this planning has been completed, it will be published on this page. - Lack of content in plain language (WCAG 2.1, success criteria 3.1.3 [Unusual words], 3.1.5 [Reading level])
The website does not currently contain any content in plain language. This can lead to people with cognitive impairments having difficulties understanding certain content. The provision of content in plain language is currently being reviewed. As soon as a decision has been made, this information will be published on this page.
Non-accessible content
Some non-accessible content (e.g. PDF documents or videos) that was published before June 28, 2025 is exempt from the accessibility obligation in accordance with the legal transitional regulations and is currently not being revised.
