Textbooks
Few things can influence a person’s thoughts and actions as much as reading a good book. Of course, this also applies to (dental) doctors. This is why (dental) medical textbooks have always played a leading role in professional development – it is no coincidence that generous patrons have donated libraries for this purpose for centuries.
On this page we present textbooks published by Priv.-Doz. Dr. Ahlers and colleagues on the topics of functional diagnostics and therapy of craniomandibular dysfunctions (CMD) and esthetic-restorative treatment. All books were produced in large editions and were so well received that new editions were necessary, in some cases even several times.
Due to the large number of dental journals today, it is not always easy to keep track of the current state of scientific discussion. Members of the teaching staff of medical faculties – such as Priv.-Doz. Dr. M. Oliver Ahlers – must therefore document their teaching and research activities with a teaching list and a list of publications.
On the neighboring pages you will find information on supplementary forms for documenting findings, diagnostic software and specialist articles on research work.

Esthetic-functional restorations using adhesive techniques
Adhesive dentistry now encompasses a variety of different treatment methods. What they all have in common is the concept of achieving a bond between restorative materials and dental hard tissues using the acid-etching technique or related procedures. This principle is used for complex filling therapies in the anterior and posterior region, the adhesive bonding of ceramic inlays and (partial) crowns as well as veneers to correct aesthetic or functional deficits.
Adhesive dentistry Step-by-step description of adhesive filling therapy as well as inlay, overlay and veneer restorations.
Editing of the German version: U. Platzer, M.O. Ahlers
The Scandinavian introduction by Ehrnford and Scholander, which has received little attention in this country, provides an easy-to-understand overview. Schematic, instructive illustrations and short, concise texts describe all the procedures. This makes the book equally suitable as an introduction for students and dentists and later for explaining the planned procedure to patients.
